05/2008 low open, high A player. Uncanny Control, Power, Feel, and Value, but it wont last long with power players. I continually try all of the top racquets from every manufacturer, (haven't tried Gearbox yet) and all of the racquets out there have some really great characteristics for sure, but NONE of those $200+ newbies can outperform this gem- and it retails for only $89 (it was $200+ in 2003). I play with power, so I usually break the 17G Ektelon Lightning strings within 2 or 3 hours of playing. I usually these racquets at the throat after about 4 months of duty. So, if you're also a power player, you may have to ask permission from your honey to buy new gear every few months ;)

A very forgiving racquet. No real weak points as far as I am concerned. Although not in Ektelon's line-up any longer it is still available through some retailers.

I love this racquet. You won't find a better racquet for the price.

I never really liked this racquet. Just a basic racquet that I was glad when the newer versio came out.
