Head Extreme 180 Review

Racquetball Racquets Ratings Summary

HEAD Extreme 180 Weight (Grams): 180 Racquet Length: 22 Head Size: 106 String Tension: 30-36 Metallix Unchain the Power with Metallix. What does all this mean to you? A stronger, stiffer and more powerful racquet. FLEXPOINT PWR = A RACQUET WITH TWO HOLES? Absolutely! These two holes break the rules of conventional racquet design and deliver unprecedented Power in control on every shot. Here is how it works. Two precisely engineered holes, strategically positioned in the center of the racquets sweetspot, are coupled with innovative dimples that work together to create a powerful flexpoint that is activated every time you hit the ball. HOLE + DIMPLE = Flexpoint PWR As the ball impacts the stringbed HEAD's patented Flexpoint PWR goes to work creating a "cupping" effect that delivers power and performance benefits never seen before in the sport of racquetball. Increased Power! When Flexpoint PSW is activated an incredible "trampoline" effect is unleashed, launching the ball off the racquet at power levels you never thought possible. More Control! The unique "cupping" effect of Flexpoint PWR allows you to hit every shot right where you are aiming. Imagine even your off-center hits re-dircting back to your target with deadly accuracy. Additional Features: IGS (INNER GROMMET SYSTEM) - The result is unprecedented power, durability and comfort. Take your game to a new level with HEAD's Liquidmetal IGS. POWER CHANNELS - This power technology breakthrough creates more stiffness in the throat area of the racquet for unbelievable power on every shot. Molded tubes pass inside the throat, completely eliminating lower exterior string holes for maximum stiffness. The result is an incredible increase in raw power. In addition, each PowerChannel tube is wrapped in a special vibration dampening material. Since each of the 16 main strings pass through one of these tubes, a truly "built-in" vibration dampening system is created for the ultimate in comfort for all levels of play.

Good solid stick. Nice upgrade over the last few generations preceding it. Nothing incredible, just easier on the arm...bit more power. If you're using a Head AMP or LM etc, you'll find this an easy adjustment and as I said, a slight upgrade.

Switched this month...nice balanced stick. Replace the grip with a Python for best results though.

Solid stick. Swing weight is lighter than a 180 would normally be so you may find yourself slightly ahead on your shot for a week or so. Tons more power though...good tradeoff. Q
